What changes within the Aiper flagship range
Scuba V3 Ultra adds a camera-led cleaning and shallow-area proposition to Aiper’s premium pool range. It should be compared with the previous flagship context of Scuba X1 Pro Max as well as with the smaller Scuba V3. The shared “V3” name does not mean that the standard model and Ultra offer the same coverage.
The official store comparison describes both the V3 Ultra and X1 Pro Max as floor-to-surface cleaners. It lists a smaller basket and lower weight for V3 Ultra, so this is not a uniform upgrade in every dimension. A pool owner collecting large quantities of leaves may value basket volume differently from someone struggling to lift the robot.
WCB assessment: consider a change for a specific access, targeting or handling improvement. If the older cleaner already covers the pool and its basket capacity is useful, a newer AI label alone does not establish a better daily result.

Cameras for targeting rather than a guarantee of clean water
The dual-camera arrangement is intended to help identify debris and adjust the cleaning route. Test it with the material that actually accumulates in your pool: leaves, grit or fine settled dirt. Pool lighting, shadows and background colour can make a showroom example unrepresentative. Inspect areas behind steps and around drains after the run, not only the visible open floor.
Shallow-shelf cleaning with geometric limits
A minimum water-depth claim is only one part of shelf access. The robot must also reach the shelf, turn on it and leave without becoming stranded. Measure the ledge’s depth, width and approach, including changes in water level. Ask for a demonstration with a comparable shelf rather than accepting a generic claim about tanning ledges.
Surface skimming as one mode of one machine
A robot collecting floating debris is not simultaneously scrubbing the bottom. The long skimming-runtime figure should therefore be matched to a surface-debris problem. Where leaves fall continually, a dedicated surface skimmer may offer a different schedule from an all-in-one robot that alternates between tasks. The relevant question is which area needs attention while the other mode is running.
Retrieval assistance without automatic filter care
JellyFloat and quick drainage are designed to make the end of the run easier. They do not remove the need to lift the robot, open and rinse the filter, charge it and put it away. Try the lifting height and route to storage. A robot that is manageable on a waist-height display may feel different at a wet pool edge.
Where it fits — and where to look elsewhere
- Pools with shallow shelves: potentially a strong reason to shortlist it, but confirm reachability and turning space, not just depth.
- Mixed floating and settled debris: consider how to schedule surface and underwater modes. Check basket loading after a normal debris day.
- Fine dirt on a dark pool finish: inspect the cleaned floor and filter afterwards. Do not confuse physical filtration with pool-water treatment.

Versions and market differences
This page concerns Scuba V3 Ultra. Scuba V3, Experts Duo and X1 Pro Max differ in their intended system and accessories. Confirm the robot, filter elements, charger and any communication accessory included in the local package. An app-controlled product does not automatically establish a reliable underwater connection without the required hardware.
The US store labels its observed price as an early-bird offer. That is a dated promotional listing, not proof of the original launch MSRP. The price card records the offer and its displayed reference separately. Check the final package, delivery date and total before comparing it with another region’s bundle.
Maintenance and ownership
After retrieval, inspect and rinse the filtration elements as directed, remove trapped hair or leaves, and check tracks and brushes for obstructions. Keep the charging and storage routine consistent with the manufacturer’s instructions. A filtration system carrying heavy fine debris may need attention more often than a basket containing a few leaves.
Price replacement filter elements, wear parts and any optional communications hardware before purchase. Consider your own handling time as well: several minutes of rinsing after every run can be more relevant than a small electricity difference. The official US store advertises a three-year warranty, but coverage, seller eligibility and exclusions should be checked in the applicable terms.

Scuba V3 Ultra deserves attention for a pool where shallow access and manageable handling are important. The most convincing demonstration combines the difficult shelf, the normal debris mix and the complete retrieval-and-rinse routine. Is Scuba V3 Ultra the same as Scuba V3?
No. The Ultra is a separate model with a different coverage and sensing proposition. Check the exact product name, accessories and official manual.
Will it clean every tanning ledge?
No universal guarantee follows from the 20 cm minimum-depth claim. Width, approach shape, surface and changing water level can determine whether the ledge is reachable.
Does eight hours of runtime apply to floor and wall cleaning?
The cited US comparison gives up to 480 minutes for skimming. It should not be applied to floor or wall modes without their own verified ratings.
Does it wash its own filter after a run?
This listing describes surface retrieval and quick drainage, not an AstroRinse-style automatic filter-washing station. Plan for manual filter care.
