Aiper Scuba V3

Scuba V3 sits between straightforward cordless pool cleaners and larger machines that add surface and shallow-area work. Its main point of difference is camera-assisted navigation. Aiper combines vision with dToF sensing and describes both targeted debris detection and adaptive route planning.

For a buyer, the practical question is whether those features address recurring trouble spots in the actual pool. A stepped floor, curved wall transition or obstacle can matter more than the outline shown in a marketing animation. Ask about the exact pool finish and geometry before expecting a navigation label to guarantee complete coverage. WCB has not tested the robot’s route efficiency or debris-recognition accuracy.

The checked US V3 table covers the floor, walls and waterline. JetAssist supports horizontal movement along the waterline, where a robot works against the pool boundary. Floating leaves in the middle of the pool present a separate collection task.

That distinction matters when comparing V3 with V3 Ultra or a dedicated skimmer. The Ultra advertises additional surface and shallow-shelf functions, while a two-device bundle may combine V3 with a separate surface cleaner. Identify which zone is currently neglected before deciding that a more expensive package or an extra machine is necessary. A waterline return for retrieval does not, by itself, establish a surface-cleaning mode.

The current US table separates a standard maximum of 180 minutes from an Eco maximum of 210 minutes. The longer seven-day claim belongs to AI scheduling and periodic maintenance, rather than one uninterrupted cleaning session. These numbers answer different questions and should not be placed in a single runtime ranking.

Also allow for approximately five hours of charging and for servicing the filter basket. A heavily loaded filter can change the cleaning task before the battery is exhausted. For pools that accumulate leaves quickly, decide when someone can inspect and empty the basket instead of assuming that a scheduling feature removes that responsibility.

Aiper previewed Scuba V3 at IFA in September 2025 and stated that it would launch in early 2026. Its January 2026 CES announcement then specified first-quarter US availability. This guide retains that sequence: a 2025 preview followed by the 2026 retail generation, rather than a claim that the product was first shown this year.

The guide follows the current standard US configuration. Early exhibition figures, other regional pages and bundled offers may differ from the retail listing. The checked price was $949.99 on 12 September, with a $1,099.99 reference displayed. Confirm the fine-filter insert, charger and local support terms, and do not treat a bundle name as a different standalone V3 model.

Plan an accessible place to retrieve the robot, empty the top-loading basket and clean the filter according to the supplied instructions. Fine filtration is useful only while water can pass through the filter. Inspect the brushes and sensing surfaces when coverage or pickup changes, and use the approved care method rather than improvised disassembly.

The feature page describes waterline retrieval with app notifications. Owners should plan to lift and charge the cleaner; this guide has not verified an autonomous route from the pool onto the charging dock. Try the lifting movement from the actual pool edge if possible, including the reach across the coping and the place where water will drain during removal.

Scuba S3 offers the same published maximum flow and basket capacity with a different navigation approach. V3 Ultra expands the cleaning zones. Neither comparison can be settled by flow alone: GPH measures water volume per hour, not suction pressure, and it does not capture route quality or brush contact.

A useful shortlist should account for the pool’s size, troublesome surfaces, floating debris and the owner’s ability to retrieve the robot. Add replacement-filter availability and the normal charging routine to that assessment. This links the purchase to the work it will actually replace instead of assuming that the most elaborate automation claim creates the least demanding ownership experience.
