Aiper vs WYBOT: Ownership, Pool Robot Platforms and Service Compared

Aiper vs WYBOT: compare ownership, manufacturing, 2026 pool robot platforms, channels, warranties, recalls and B2B buying checks.

By Denny You

Key Points
  • Aiper is the stronger starting point for buyers prioritizing a broad cordless and smart-yard product ladder, major authorized retailers and a visible dealer-support system.
  • WYBOT is the stronger starting point for buyers prioritizing a vertically integrated pool-robot manufacturer, disclosed ODM capability, an EU wholesale route and solar-dock or self-emptying systems.
  • There is no brand-wide performance winner: match the pool and exact SKU, then verify the seller, importer, service route, warranty, freight and recall status.
Aiper vs WYBOT: Ownership, Pool Robot Platforms and Service Compared

Aiper is generally the stronger starting point for buyers who want a broad cordless and smart-yard product ladder, major authorized retailers and a visible dealer-support system. WYBOT is generally the stronger starting point for buyers who want a vertically integrated pool-robot manufacturer, disclosed ODM capability, an EU wholesale route and solar-dock or self-emptying systems.

There is no brand-wide performance winner. Both companies sell multiple generations and product tiers. A fair Aiper vs WYBOT decision starts with the pool and exact SKU, then checks the contract seller, importer, service route, warranty, freight and recall status.

World Clean Biz has not run matched laboratory tests on the two ranges. Manufacturer specifications establish intended features; they do not prove which brand cleans better, lasts longer or produces fewer returns.

Are Aiper and WYBOT the Same Company?

No. Aiper and WYBOT are unrelated competing brands.

Aiper belongs to the Aiper group. Fluidra completed an approximately $100 million investment through new shares in December 2025 and obtained a 27% interest. Spain’s CNMC case page classifies the completed structure as joint control of Aiper Inc. by Fluidra Commercial and W&D United.

That does not make Aiper a wholly owned Fluidra brand. Fluidra is a significant minority shareholder, joint control is a separate governance concept, and the announced path to a possible future majority stake is not a completed second transaction.

WYBOT is an in-house brand of WYBOTICS Co.,LTD, the Tianjin robotic pool-cleaner company whose predecessor used the Wangyuan name. The company’s April 2026 Hong Kong application proof says it researches, designs, manufactures and markets pool robots under WYBOT and Winny Pool Cleaner while also supplying ODM customers.

The same filing identified Fu Guilan, her son Yu Qian and entities they controlled as a controlling-shareholder group with 71.58% of voting rights as of April 15, 2026. That figure includes controlled entities; it is not the two individuals’ combined direct shareholding and does not mean the company is wholly family-owned. The document was an application proof, not evidence of a completed Hong Kong listing.

For the full corporate maps, see Who Owns Aiper? and Who Makes WYBOT Pool Cleaners?.

Who Makes Aiper and WYBOT Pool Cleaners?

The two companies use different manufacturing structures.

WYBOTICS reports that it manufactures substantially all products at owned facilities in Tianjin. Its filing describes three workshops with more than 10,000 square meters of gross floor area at the end of 2025 and says the company develops and makes substantially all key components used in branded and ODM products in-house.

“Substantially all” still does not mean every component, batch and destination SKU has the same origin. A distributor should obtain the model label, factory address, country-of-origin statement, declarations, test reports and batch traceability for the actual order.

Aiper’s official disclosures describe a partner-based manufacturing network. Fluidra referred to strategic manufacturing partners in China and Vietnam, while the CNMC review described two Chinese OEMs and one Indian OEM. Those statements may use different dates or definitions.

U.S. recall records also show model-specific contract manufacturing. The 2025 Aiper Seagull Pro notice named Dongguan Yuanhong Intelligent Technology as manufacturer and Shenzhen Aiper Intelligent as distributor. An earlier Aiper recall named a different manufacturer. A factory shown in one recall cannot be assigned to every current Aiper product.

The practical distinction is useful but limited:

  • WYBOTICS publicly presents a more vertically integrated own-factory model.
  • Aiper publicly presents a partner-based manufacturing network coordinated by the Aiper group.
  • Neither model proves better quality, reliability or compliance without SKU-level evidence.

How Do the 2026 Product Platforms Differ?

Aiper’s current U.S. catalog covers several product layers. Its in-ground range includes Scuba S1 and S1 Pro, the Scuba X1 family, Scuba S3, Scuba V3 and V3 Ultra. Above-ground and simpler applications have separate Scuba and Seagull products. EcoSurfer handles surface skimming, while HydroComm and IrriSense extend the brand into pool monitoring and smart-yard care.

The Scuba V3 and Scuba V3 Ultra represent Aiper’s current AI direction. The official pages describe vision-assisted cleaning, route planning and model-specific coverage. V3 Ultra adds a wider set of named cleaning zones, including the surface and qualifying shallow areas. Those functions do not belong to every Aiper.

WYBOT’s current U.S. catalog also covers several layers. A1 and B1 occupy simpler applications; C1 and C2 form the core cordless range; C2 Vision adds camera-based targeted floor cleaning; S2 products add larger-pool and solar-dock options; and the WYBOT S3 adds 3D mapping, automatic return, charging and debris transfer to an external dock. The F1 is a separate solar surface skimmer.

WYBOT’s vision claims also need precise boundaries. The C2 Vision, S2 Solar Vision and S3 pages describe their accelerated AI Vision function as a floor-only mode. A marketing headline about AI efficiency should not be converted into a whole-pool or cross-brand test result.

Which Aiper and WYBOT Models Should Be Compared?

There is no single correct pair because both lineups overlap unevenly.

Buying task Aiper shortlist WYBOT shortlist Important mismatch to check
Flat or simpler above-ground pool Scuba SE, Scuba E1 or Seagull SE A1 or B1 Floor shape, wrinkles, drains, slope limits and wall coverage
Cordless floor, wall and waterline cleaning Scuba S1, S3 or selected X1 products C1, C2 or C2 Vision Pool-size definition, filtration, path modes, retrieval and app behavior
AI-assisted premium shortlist Scuba V3, V3 Ultra or X1 Pro Max C2 Vision, S2 Solar Vision or S3 These are not equivalent: coverage zones, charging and dock functions differ
Solar or reduced charging intervention Selected Aiper products and accessories must be checked by SKU S2 Solar, S2 Solar Vision or S3 “Solar” may refer to a dock, accessory or operating design; verify included hardware
Surface-only skimming EcoSurfer S1 or S2 F1 Compare basket, solar/DC charging, app, obstacle handling and warranty
Surface plus underwater maintenance Separate Aiper units or a qualifying multi-zone flagship WYBOT cleaner plus F1 bundle, or selected automation system One invoice may still contain two serviceable devices and two warranty schedules

A model table is a shortlist, not a verdict. Confirm the exact current product number because names, model years, regional aliases and bundles can change without creating a new brand name.

Which Brand Has the Stronger Channel System?

Aiper publishes a detailed authorized sales-channel list by region. The U.S. list includes the official store and major mass, home-improvement, electronics and pool retailers. Aiper states that purchases from unauthorized resellers are not covered by its warranty policy.

The company also operates a public dealer network with registration, direct-dealer access, training, marketing materials, product claims, rebates and account tools. This creates visible infrastructure for a retailer or pool dealer evaluating the brand.

It does not prove every listed seller can diagnose or repair products locally. A dealer contract should still define territory, marketplace rights, price protection, returns, freight, service labor and access to replacement stock.

WYBOT combines direct online sales, marketplaces, regional subsidiaries and wholesale programs. Its European wholesale page advertises EU inventory, volume discounts, marketing assets, a two-year warranty, spare parts and an RMA process with repair or replacement.

The same page says the wholesale partner manages its end customers while WYBOT provides technical and warranty support for defective units. That allocation matters: the retailer may own first-line communication and consumer-law obligations even when the brand supports the technical remedy.

The published program applies to the described European route. It should not be copied into a U.S., Australian, private-label or exclusive-distributor agreement without written confirmation.

How Do Aiper and WYBOT Warranties Compare?

Neither brand has one global warranty number.

Aiper’s current U.S. refund and warranty policy, last updated April 16, 2026, lists 12-, 24- and 36-month periods by model. Scuba V3 is listed at 24 months and Scuba X1 Pro Max at 36 months. Accessories and consumables have shorter periods. The limited warranty is restricted to the country of receipt and can require proof from an authorized channel.

WYBOT’s current U.S. refund policy lists 12 months for products such as A1 and F1 and 24 months for many C- and S-series products. The current S3 product page separately advertises a two-year warranty. The policy says that after the 30-day free return-and-replacement period, eligible products receive free repair and return shipping, while the buyer pays inbound shipping to WYBOT.

Both policies make cross-border purchasing a service risk. Aiper limits coverage to the country of receipt. WYBOT lists buyer-paid costs for warranty claims on products taken outside the original country of purchase and for international returns.

For a distributor, the headline term is only one cost input. Obtain written answers for:

  1. The legal entity issuing the warranty.
  2. The products, batteries, docks, chargers and consumables covered.
  3. Inbound and outbound freight.
  4. Diagnosis, repair or replacement criteria.
  5. New, repaired or refurbished replacement grade.
  6. Turnaround target and advance-replacement stock.
  7. Warranty treatment after replacement.
  8. End-of-life parts and firmware support.

What Do the Aiper and WYBOT Recalls Tell Buyers?

Two U.S. notices illustrate responsibility chains; they do not create a brand safety ranking.

On March 20, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled specified Aiper Seagull Pro ZT6001 units because the adapter could overheat. The notice named Dongguan Yuanhong Intelligent Technology as manufacturer and Shenzhen Aiper Intelligent as distributor. It covered about 32,660 U.S. units, plus about 2,530 sold in Canada, and offered a replacement Scuba S1.

On April 9, 2026, CPSC recalled specified WYBOT Osprey 700 Max and S1 units because the lithium-ion battery could overheat. The notice named WYBOTICS Co. Ltd. as manufacturer and Wybotics Inc. as U.S. importer. It covered about 5,000 units and offered a replacement WYBOT C2.

The notices show why a buyer needs the exact model, serial number, importer and purchase market. They do not show that every Aiper or every WYBOT was recalled, and the unit counts are not comparable failure-rate data.

For inventory due diligence, screen every serial range before sale, keep purchaser records, assign recall freight and labor in the contract, and confirm how old stock is quarantined or replaced.

B2B Procurement Checklist

Pool and product

  • Record pool type, dimensions, surface, shape, slopes, steps, sun shelf, waterline and debris.
  • Confirm model number, product number, EAN/UPC, hardware revision, firmware and included accessories.
  • Separate floor, wall, waterline, surface, shallow-area, filtration and water-treatment functions.
  • Match charging, retrieval, basket cleaning and battery cycles to the intended duty.

Company, channel and compliance

  • Identify the trademark owner, legal manufacturer, assembly site, origin and importer.
  • Confirm the contract seller and its authorization for the country, channel and model.
  • Obtain battery, charger, radio, electrical and product-safety files for the exact configuration.
  • Record territory, marketplaces, exclusivity, price policy and cross-border restrictions.
  • For ODM, define tooling, industrial design, firmware, app, cloud, certification and trademark rights.

Service economics

  • Map first response, diagnostics, DOA, RMA, repair, replacement and recall locations.
  • Allocate freight, duties, lithium-battery transport, labor and consumer chargebacks.
  • Price batteries, chargers, docks, filters, brushes, tracks, motors and control boards.
  • Agree on turnaround, replacement grade, spare-unit stock and end-of-life support.
  • Obtain written commercial-use authorization for every non-household application.
  • Retain the label, manual, invoice, authorization, warranty version and serial record for every batch.

Can Brand Marketing Decide the Winner?

No. Aiper and WYBOT both publish performance claims, awards, “world first” language and current product comparisons. Those pages are useful for the companies’ intended specifications and positioning. They are not independent matched tests.

Suction or flow figures are especially easy to misuse. The measurement location, water path, filter condition and test method may differ. The same problem applies to “AI efficiency,” pool coverage and runtime.

A credible test would use the same pool, debris load, water condition, cycle and filter preparation. It would record missed areas, particle capture, wall and waterline coverage, retrieval effort, charging time, filter-cleaning labor, faults and actual support response.

Until that evidence exists, “better” should mean better fit for a declared pool, SKU, channel and service obligation.

FAQ

Is Aiper better than WYBOT?

Aiper can be the better starting point for buyers who prioritize a broad cordless and smart-yard assortment, major authorized retailers and public dealer tools. That does not prove every Aiper cleans better or lasts longer than every WYBOT.

Is WYBOT better than Aiper?

WYBOT can be the better starting point for buyers who prioritize an integrated manufacturer, disclosed ODM capability, a published European wholesale route, solar-dock options or S3-style automatic docking and debris transfer. Compare the exact SKU and local service agreement.

Is Aiper owned by Fluidra?

Fluidra owns 27% of Aiper and shares control with W&D United after the completed 2025 transaction. Aiper is not wholly owned by Fluidra, and the possible future path to a majority stake is not a completed transaction.

Who owns WYBOT?

WYBOT is an in-house brand of WYBOTICS Co.,LTD. As of April 15, 2026, Fu Guilan, Yu Qian and controlled entities formed a controlling-shareholder group with 71.58% of voting rights.

Are Aiper and WYBOT made by the same manufacturer?

Reviewed official evidence does not support that claim. WYBOTICS reports owned Tianjin production. Aiper reports a partner-based network, and model-specific records name external contract manufacturers. Similar appearance is not proof of a shared factory or product.

Which Aiper is comparable to WYBOT C2?

Aiper Scuba S1, S3 or selected X1 models can be useful shortlists for cordless floor, wall and waterline cleaning. Pool limits, filtration, modes, retrieval, warranty and generation still need a model-level comparison.

Which brand offers solar pool robots?

WYBOT makes solar-dock systems central to its S2 Solar, S2 Solar Vision and S3 route. Aiper sells solar-capable surface products and has model- or accessory-specific charging options. Confirm what is included with the exact SKU.

Which brand has the better warranty?

There is no brand-wide answer. Aiper’s current U.S. table spans 12 to 36 months for listed products; WYBOT’s spans 12 to 24 months for listed products, with its S3 page advertising two years. Freight, remedy, parts, region and seller matter as much as duration.

Have Aiper or WYBOT pool robots been recalled?

Yes, specific products have. The 2025 Aiper notice covered specified Seagull Pro ZT6001 units. The 2026 WYBOT notice covered specified Osprey 700 Max and S1 model and serial ranges. Check the exact regulatory notice; do not treat either recall as brand-wide.

Can Aiper or WYBOT be used in commercial pools?

Do not infer commercial suitability from retail specifications. Obtain written confirmation covering the intended duty cycle, warranty, service-level agreement, spare units, batteries and freight.

Can I import either brand from another country and keep the warranty?

Do not assume so. Both U.S. retail policies contain country-related limits or buyer-paid international costs. Confirm the authorized seller, receiving or purchase country, invoice, importer and written regional exception before payment.

Final Answer

Aiper and WYBOT are two different cordless pool-robot systems.

Aiper offers the stronger public starting point for a broad smart-yard assortment, major authorized retail and dealer-support tools. Its corporate structure includes Fluidra as a 27% shareholder and joint controller with W&D, not as a sole owner. WYBOT offers the stronger public starting point for vertically integrated pool-robot manufacturing, disclosed ODM capability, a European wholesale route and selected solar-dock or self-emptying systems under WYBOTICS.

The final decision belongs at model and transaction level. Match the pool, verify the SKU and authorized seller, confirm the manufacturer and importer, screen the serial number for recalls, and calculate the real cost of freight, repair, replacement and downtime.
