Husqvarna Adds Autonomous Dew Removal for Golf Greens
The attachment turns the Automower 580L EPOS into a dew-removal robot from early 2027.
News date:

Husqvarna has introduced an autonomous dew removal solution for golf putting greens, Pitchcare reported on November 6, 2026. It will be available from early 2027 and works only with the Automower 580L EPOS. Pricing was not disclosed.
The system replaces the mower's cutting disc with a dew removal attachment. Greenkeepers define work areas across the greens, and the robot travels between them on set transport paths, lifting the attachment clear of the ground in transit to reduce the risk of carrying material from one surface to another. The aim is to clear dew before morning maintenance, giving drier and more consistent putting surfaces. Prolonged moisture can also encourage fungal disease.
"This is a direct response to those conversations," said Andrew Lees, Husqvarna's global segment manager, referring to feedback from greenkeepers about early-morning workload.
Husqvarna is also taking part in a study of alternative ways to manage dollar spot, a turf disease. The research is led by the International Turfgrass Research Initiative and funded by the USGA, the R&A and STERF, with trials in Sweden, Denmark, the United States and Germany. The organisers say the findings will not amount to an endorsement of the product. Golf courses are the main market for Husqvarna's professional robotics business in the United States.
