Electrolux reached an agreement with the Italian government and unions in the early hours of November 4, 2026, after about 30 hours of talks at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT). The deal covers the group's 2026–2029 industrial plan for Italy, according to Capitalist.

Job losses fall to a maximum of 902, all voluntary and incentivised, from the 1,719 redundancies Electrolux announced on May 11. The original plan also included closing the Cerreto d'Esi plant and cutting production by 30%. Under the agreement, all Italian plants stay open: Cerreto d'Esi keeps producing at current volumes until a reindustrialisation solution is found for its 149 workers.

Electrolux will invest more than EUR 100 million in Italy over the plan, said Adolfo Urso, the minister for enterprises. The disclosed plant figures include EUR 18.5 million at Susegana, where voluntary exits drop to 313 from 420, and EUR 15 million over three years at Forlì, which faces up to 194 exits. Porcia will make washing machines and washer-dryers on both of its platforms. The group targets about 3.2 million units a year in Italy by the end of the plan.

The unions involved were Fiom, Fim, Uilm and Usb. Worker assemblies to ratify the framework agreement began at Porcia after the signing.
