Electrolux Q2 Charges Push Reported Operating Result into Loss
Underlying operating earnings remained positive.
News date:

Electrolux reported second-quarter 2026 sales of SEK 31.569 billion on July 29, with organic sales growth of 2.0%. Its interim report showed improved earnings before non-recurring items but a reported loss after restructuring-related charges.
Operating income excluding non-recurring items reached SEK 1.202 billion, equivalent to a 3.8% margin. Sales volumes increased in EMEA and Asia Pacific and in Latin America, while North American organic sales declined amid weaker market conditions. Group cost-efficiency measures contributed SEK 1.4 billion to operating income.
Including approximately SEK 2.2 billion in negative non-recurring items, the reported operating result was a loss of SEK 1.005 billion. Net loss was SEK 1.641 billion. The release linked the non-recurring items to the planned North American Midea partnership, organizational and manufacturing changes, and tariff-refund effects.
Operating cash flow after investments was positive at SEK 1.607 billion, supported by better adjusted operating income and lower working capital. Electrolux also said its approximately SEK 9.1 billion rights issue had been completed at the end of June. The quarter's adjusted profit and reported loss thus describe different accounting views of the same period, with the restructuring programme still being implemented.
