Midea and Electrolux Say All Three North American Joint Ventures Are Operating
The operational milestone follows the partnership announced in April.
News date:

Midea and Electrolux said on October 1, 2026 that all three joint ventures under their North American partnership were operating. The joint-venture update marked an implementation milestone for the arrangement first announced on April 23.
The partnership brings together manufacturing, product development, supply-chain capabilities and commercial activity. The companies said it builds on more than two decades of collaboration, now with a more localized structure for serving North American customers. Management linked the venture operations to product competitiveness, efficiency and future innovation.
Food preservation and fabric care are central to the production plan. The companies said they intended, over time, to achieve annual North American output in those categories roughly double their current combined capacity, while also expanding into additional product areas. That statement is an ambition for future production, not a claim that factory output doubled on October 1.
For the appliance supply chain, the immediate change is that the three operating entities have moved beyond the original partnership announcement. Their progress will involve manufacturing and supply decisions as well as product introductions. The confirmation that the ventures are live should therefore be kept distinct from later capacity additions or commercial results produced by the partnership.
