Buying finer media is most useful when it addresses that observed problem and you are willing to maintain it. It does not remove the need for the pool’s normal filtration and water care.

Pools with a mixture of leaves and settled dirt: compare a full cleaning cycle with the routine you use now. Include the time spent retrieving the robot, rinsing the basket and dealing with missed edges. A machine that combines jobs should reduce the total routine, not merely offer more selectable modes.

Pools with a broad tanning platform: Sora 70 is worth investigating if the dimensions meet the published requirements. Request a demonstration that includes the approach to the platform as well as cleaning while on it. An isolated clip of the robot sitting on a shelf cannot establish that it will enter and leave yours reliably.

Owners prioritising less filter handling: compare AquaSense X and its station requirements. If station space or plumbing access is inconvenient, manual care may be the more practical choice. If floating-leaf collection is unnecessary, ULTRAMARINE P1 offers a different, simpler task profile with its own depth restrictions.

Sora 70 is a sensible candidate when surface cleaning and supported shallow-platform access solve real gaps in your routine. It becomes less relevant when an existing skimmer already collects the floating debris or when narrow steps are the main problem. Compare the completed pool and the maintenance afterward with a less expensive underwater-only option and a station-equipped alternative before deciding where the extra spending is useful.
