Nilfisk Delists from Nasdaq Copenhagen after Freudenberg Acquisition
May 12 was the final day of trading and official listing for Nilfisk shares.
News date:

Nilfisk left Nasdaq Copenhagen on May 12, 2026, the final day of trading and official listing for its shares. The company's delisting notice confirmed the move following Freudenberg's completed public takeover offer.
The transaction had reached its earlier ownership milestone on April 15, when the offer was completed and settled. Freudenberg then held more than 90% of Nilfisk's share capital and voting rights. Nilfisk's notice states that the acquisition of the remaining shares was subsequently carried out under the Danish Companies Act.
The company described itself as privately held and discontinued its investor-relations website. That changes the route through which public shareholders previously followed Nilfisk, while the business continues within Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions. In its earlier completion announcement, Nilfisk said it would continue as a standalone brand, combining its machine portfolio with the buyer's manual-cleaning capabilities.
The May event is therefore the end of public trading, rather than the initial acquisition proposal or offer settlement. The sequence matters when tracing the ownership change: the offer was announced in December 2025, completed in April 2026 and followed by delisting in May. Each date records a different step in Nilfisk's transition to private ownership.
