Freudenberg Completes Nilfisk Takeover Offer
Nilfisk joined Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions after the offer was completed and settled on April 15.
News date:

Nilfisk became part of Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions on April 15, 2026, following completion and settlement of the takeover offer. Its announcement marked the ownership milestone after the offer first announced in December 2025.
Freudenberg's separate completion notice said it held more than 90% of Nilfisk's share capital and voting rights, excluding treasury shares. The buyer intended to acquire the remaining shares through a compulsory acquisition and seek delisting. Those subsequent steps were distinct from settlement of the accepted offer on April 15.
The companies described a combination of Nilfisk's professional cleaning machines with Freudenberg's manual cleaning systems. Nilfisk was to continue as a standalone brand within the larger group. Management presented the industrial fit as a basis for a broader customer offering while building on each business's existing capabilities.
Nilfisk entered the group with 2025 revenue of EUR 996.3 million and a business serving professional customers in more than 100 countries. The immediate event was a completed takeover offer and new ownership structure. Removal of the shares from Nasdaq Copenhagen came later, in May, and should not be folded into the April completion date.
