Dyson Introduces R1 Nurovi Dry and R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry Robot Vacuums
The new range separates dry vacuuming from combined washing and vacuuming, with the UK release describing both as launching soon.
News date:

Dyson announced the R1 Nurovi Dry and R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry on September 3, 2026. The UK introduction established two robot configurations with different floor-cleaning functions, rather than one machine offered under interchangeable names.
Both use a combination of mechanical debris pickup and suction, supported by sensing that adjusts cleaning behaviour. The dry-cleaning R1 focuses on collecting floor debris. The R2 adds a washing system, using triangular pads intended to reach edges and corners that are difficult for a round cleaning surface to follow closely.
For the R2, dock-based pad washing and drying form part of the maintenance cycle. Dyson also described a bagless cyclonic docking system and operation through the MyDyson app. Those features extend the product description beyond the robot itself to the equipment and controls used between cleaning runs.
The announcement described the range as launching soon but did not provide a firm UK retail date or price. That leaves commercial availability separate from the September product reveal. Buyers comparing the two models should match the required floor-care task to the exact name: the R2's washing functions are not part of the R1 Dry specification.
