Aiper announced software and usability upgrades for its Scuba S1 cordless pool cleaner on April 9, 2026, ahead of the spring pool-opening season. The company said the model, introduced in 2024, had reached more than 500,000 users worldwide.

The update adds a customizable weekly cleaning schedule and changes to route planning. Aiper also described broader shallow-area coverage and an enhanced Eco Mode with a claimed runtime of up to four hours. Those features address routine maintenance between more intensive cleaning sessions, while the multi-layer filtration system handles debris of different sizes.

The S1 remains positioned as a more accessible model within Aiper's pool-cleaner range. The April announcement listed a promotional U.S. price of $579.99 through Aiper and Amazon. That was the price advertised for the announcement period; regional offers and subsequent promotions may differ.

The update concerns Scuba S1 specifically and should be read separately from the newer Scuba V3 family. Aiper had already presented that family at CES in January, before announcing V3 Ultra purchase availability in June. The April S1 release therefore documents continued support for an existing product alongside the rollout of the newer flagship range.
