Best for

Kärcher's top cordless stick with automatic Smart Mode and a parking station. Budget for a second battery if you rely on Boost.

Look elsewhere if

Buyers who want an auto-empty dock, or long runtime at full power on a single battery.

What the VCS 7-28 Infinity is

The VCS 7-28 Infinity is the top model in Kärcher's Infinity Line, a new generation of cordless vacuums presented on 8 September 2026. Its main feature is Smart Mode, which Kärcher calls patented Smart Power technology: the vacuum reads floor type, dirt level and filter condition and adjusts motor, roller and airflow.

The floor nozzle picks up dirt moving both forwards and backwards. The Signature Line configuration adds a self-standing parking station and a mini turbo brush.

Read the specifications correctly

Runtime depends heavily on mode. With the 2.5 Ah battery, Kärcher lists about 70 minutes in Eco without the electric floor nozzle, 45 in Smart, 30 in Standard and 10 in Boost.

The 99.9% filtration figure refers to particles of 0.3 µm and larger in Kärcher's internal tests. The 3,400 rpm Carpet Turbo figure is a maximum roller speed in Smart mode.

Who should shortlist it

Shortlist the VCS 7-28 Infinity for mixed-floor homes that want automatic power control and a parking station from a European brand. Buyers who need long Boost runtime should plan for a second battery.

Versions and market differences

The Infinity Line also includes the VCS 5-28 Infinity, which has dirt sensing, three suction levels and a wall bracket, in several configurations, plus the entry VCS 3 Nano. Order number 13492700 identifies this Signature Line package.

WCB interpretation: All three headline about 70–80 minutes only in their lowest mode; Kärcher's difference is sensing that also watches filter condition.

Maintenance and ownership

The 28 V battery is replaceable, so a second battery extends runtime. Filter cleaning is contactless, triggered by a lever, and the display warns when the filter is full.

Check the roller for hair despite the anti-hair design, and charge in the parking station, which takes about 120 minutes with the standard charger.
