Worth considering for
Where it makes sense
The base HX3 is most useful to compare around its adjustable balance and dry-cleaning tool set. Its published powered-accessory runtimes are clearer purchase inputs than the longer solo figure.

When to look elsewhere
Buyers expecting a wet-cleaning attachment in the base box, dirty-water pickup, a self-emptying station or 70 minutes with a powered floor head.

Why the three layouts matter
Triflex HX3 gives the buyer a choice about where the PowerUnit sits in the cleaner. Comfort places it lower for floor work, Reach moves it higher for access around furniture, and Compact turns the assembly into a handheld cleaner. The benefit depends on whether those changes make the household’s regular tasks easier.
Try the complete transition between layouts, including releasing the parts and putting the unused tube or floor head somewhere convenient. A cleaner that feels balanced on the floor can feel different when lifted toward a shelf. These handling questions deserve attention alongside the motor and filtration claims. WCB has not carried out a hands-on pickup or ergonomics test of this package.
Use the powered-tool runtime figures
Miele separates the solo maximum from operation with powered accessories. The UK listing gives up to 70 minutes on Low with the PowerUnit alone, 38 minutes on Low with powered accessories, and 15 minutes on High with powered accessories. Those are different operating conditions rather than three interchangeable estimates of a floor-cleaning session.
For a home with several rugs, begin the comparison with the powered-tool figures and consider how often higher power is needed. A second approved battery may help longer routines, but it is an additional purchase. The roughly four-hour charging time is also relevant if the same cleaner needs to serve several separate sessions in a day.
What the base package includes
The Brilliant White package is primarily a dry cordless vacuum. The current UK listing identifies a MultiFloor XXL floor head and three detail tools: a dusting brush, wide upholstery nozzle and crevice nozzle. Check the actual carton before assuming that a photograph of the wider range describes every tool included here.
AquaTwister can add wet-floor work to a compatible HX3, but it is not in this base box. Its operating principle also matters: the attachment mops without suction. Buying that accessory does not turn HX3 into a cleaner that extracts spills or stores recovered dirty water. For buyers who want it immediately, compare the complete Aqua package against the base unit plus accessory.
Versions and market differences
The range was previewed in July 2025. Miele’s March 2026 retail announcement subsequently scheduled its launch for May. This entry therefore treats HX3 as part of the 2026 retail rollout while preserving the earlier announcement history. It does not establish a precise first UK delivery date from a German announcement.
The checked UK page and an earlier official specification sheet disagree on the floor-head code and bin capacity. The current page says SEB 431 and 0.5 litres; the earlier sheet says SEB 430 and 0.3 litres. The guide leaves the capacity unresolved and uses the current listing to identify the head. Confirm those details with Miele rather than combining them into an apparently definitive specification.
Maintenance and ownership
HEPA lifetime filtration still requires routine care. The operating instructions call for fine-filter and pre-filter cleaning at least every three months and specify a dry method for the fine filter. Washing a component that must remain dry can create a different ownership problem from simply postponing cleaning.
Empty the dust container, clear hair from the floor head and inspect the airflow path as needed. Keep the regional product number with the receipt so replacement parts match the unit. If adding AquaTwister later, also allow for cleaning the pads and water container; the accessory adds a separate maintenance routine as well as a new floor-care task.
Compare handling before paying for a bundle
HX3 Aqua adds wet-cleaning equipment to the same reconfigurable family. Bosch Unlimited 10 changes reach through a bending tube, while other cordless systems may focus on dust disposal or a different collection mechanism. Compare these products around the task that currently causes the most effort at home.
The base HX3 can make sense when dry pickup and flexible handling are the priorities. Before ordering, check the floor head, storage arrangement, battery supply and local service terms. The £649 UK price is a dated package snapshot, and the most useful comparison includes the accessories the household will actually need from the first week.

Was Triflex HX3 first announced in 2026?
No. Miele previewed the range in July 2025. Its 23 March 2026 retail announcement scheduled the rollout for May; this guide covers a current UK package in that 2026 retail range.
Does the base HX3 mop floors?
Not with its supplied dry-cleaning tools. The HX3-compatible AquaTwister is a separate upgrade. That attachment mops without suction and does not collect dirty water.
Will it run for 70 minutes with the floor brush?
The 70-minute figure is Low operation with the PowerUnit alone. Miele separately lists up to 38 minutes on Low and 15 minutes on High with powered accessories.
What changes between the three layouts?
The PowerUnit can sit lower for Comfort floor work, higher for Reach use, or form a Compact handheld cleaner. Try the balance and attachment changes with the intended tasks.
Which head and bin capacity are correct?
The current UK page lists SEB 431 and 0.5 litres, while an earlier official sheet lists SEB 430 and 0.3 litres. This guide flags the mismatch and recommends confirming the carton and capacity with Miele.
Does the lifetime filter need cleaning?
Yes. The manual calls for fine-filter and pre-filter cleaning at least every three months. Use the specified dry procedure; do not wash the fine filter.
What does the checked UK package cost?
The Brilliant White 12878400 listing was £649 on 12 September 2026. The Aqua attachment is not included in this base-package price.
