Kärcher Adds B 85 R Classic to Its Entry-Level Ride-On Scrubber Range
The new ride-on scrubber dryer targets a variety of professional cleaning applications, according to Kärcher’s September announcement.
News date:

Kärcher highlighted the B 85 R Classic in its international newsroom on September 14, 2026, adding to its communications around an entry-level ride-on scrubber dryer. The machine is aimed at professional facilities needing straightforward operation and a compact vehicle for routine floor cleaning.
An earlier announcement from Kärcher Sweden described applications including hospitals, shops and sports halls. It listed working widths of up to 70 cm and a rated area performance of approximately 4,200 square metres per hour. Actual coverage in a building will depend on its layout, cleaning task and operating conditions.
The manufacturer uses die-cast aluminium for the squeegee assemblies and brush heads. A 37 cm step-in height, clearly arranged controls and an integrated charger on Bp Pack versions are intended to simplify daily operation. The Swedish release also described optional lithium-ion batteries and automatic detergent dosing.
The B 85 R Classic places an operator on the machine; it is separate from Kärcher's autonomous floor-cleaning range. Its compact form is intended to help with confined routes and smaller lifts. Battery, brush and dosing configurations should be matched to the exact regional package when specifying equipment.
