Pentair reported third-quarter 2026 net sales of USD 976 million on October 27, down 4% from a year earlier. Core sales, which exclude currency, acquisitions and divestitures, fell 5%.

The decline came from the Pool segment. Pool sales fell 18% to USD 291.5 million, and segment income fell 38% to USD 72 million, cutting the segment's return on sales to 24.6%. The company said in its results release that the quarter "reflected the completion of the inventory realignment with our major channel partners", after a difficult second quarter in Pool.

The two water businesses grew. Flow sales rose 4% to USD 262.5 million and Water Solutions sales rose 1% to USD 421.9 million. Net income from continuing operations was USD 145.1 million, against USD 184.3 million a year earlier, and adjusted earnings per share fell 5% to USD 1.18.

Pentair kept its adjusted earnings-per-share guidance for 2026 at about USD 4.70 at the midpoint and now expects reported sales for the year to fall about 3%. Chief executive John Stauch said the teams responded "with focus and urgency" after the second quarter.
