Metabo North America to Transition to Metabo HPT
KOKI announced a regional brand-unification plan.
News date:

KOKI Group announced on November 17, 2025 that the Metabo brand in North America would transition to Metabo HPT. The regional brand announcement set out a phased conversion beginning that month, with completion planned by mid-2026.
The change covers product branding, packaging and retail signage. KOKI said the transition would preserve access to tools, replacement parts and service while bringing the regional portfolio under a single identity. It described warranties and repair support as continuing through the conversion.
Battery support is an important part of the announcement. Existing Metabo batteries sold in North America would remain supported and available for the foreseeable future, according to the company. Newly introduced cordless tools under the Metabo HPT name would use the MultiVolt system and work with existing Metabo HPT batteries.
That statement does not make all older Metabo and Metabo HPT battery systems interchangeable. The branding transition and the electrical platform attached to a particular tool remain separate considerations for users and distributors. The event also concerns North America specifically: it is neither a new acquisition of Metabo nor an announcement that every market worldwide would adopt the same name.
