LionsBot and WISAG Collaborate on R5 Cleaning Robot Development
WISAG supplied operational feedback for the R5 ahead of its Interclean Amsterdam showcase.
News date:
LionsBot announced a development collaboration with German facility-services provider WISAG on April 8, 2026, ahead of its R5 robot presentation at Interclean Amsterdam. The agreement announcement said WISAG's experience in commercial cleaning helped shape the machine's design and readiness for deployment.
The cooperation focused on practitioner feedback rather than a disclosed bulk purchase. WISAG contributed insights into everyday cleaning operations, with the companies identifying usability, reliability and practical deployment as areas refined during development. No robot order quantity was included in the announcement.
LionsBot described the R5 as a compact, manoeuvrable cleaning robot for environments such as transport hubs, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities and busy public spaces. These locations bring different circulation patterns and cleaning requirements, making input from service teams relevant to how a machine is used on site.
The companies linked their cooperation to workforce constraints and the need for consistent service quality. LionsBot planned to demonstrate the R5 at Interclean, held April 14–17. The announcement's significance is the involvement of a cleaning-services operator in product development, connecting the robot's engineering with the routines of staff who would be expected to deploy, supervise and maintain it.
