Best for
A dealer-sold, wire-free mower for mid-sized gardens with AI vision. Check Wi-Fi coverage across the lawn and the boundary slopes before buying.
Look elsewhere if
Lawns with weak Wi-Fi at the far end, steep boundary edges above 15%, or buyers who want app-controlled cutting height.
What the Automower 312V is
The Automower 312V is one of three Husqvarna robotic mowers announced in January 2026 with AI vision. It drops the boundary wire in favour of virtual boundaries, combining satellite positioning with a built-in camera that recognises and avoids obstacles.
It sits above the 308V, which covers up to 800 m², and is aimed at mid-sized suburban gardens sold through Husqvarna's dealer network.
Read the specifications correctly
The 1,200 m² figure is a capacity rating with a ±20% tolerance. Lawns with many zones, narrow passages or tree cover will take longer to cover.
The slope figures describe two different places: up to 40% inside the installation, but only 15% at the boundary. Cutting width is 22 cm, and cutting height is set by hand between 20 mm and 50 mm.

Who should shortlist it
Shortlist the 312V for gardens up to about 1,200 m² with good Wi-Fi coverage and moderate slopes, where an established dealer network matters. For steeper or larger properties, compare all-wheel-drive models.

WCB interpretation: The 312V is the dealer-backed choice for moderate slopes; WORX and Segway target larger, steeper lawns with RTK and wider decks.
Maintenance and ownership
The camera and blades need regular cleaning and checking, and virtual boundaries should be reviewed after landscaping changes. Wi-Fi must reach the whole lawn for wire-free installation, so check coverage before buying.
Because Husqvarna sells through authorised dealers, ask about installation help, winter service and blade supplies at purchase.
