Worth considering for

Where it makes sense

FloorShine 830 is useful to compare around its low-furniture reach and base maintenance. Its flat-mode and charging limitations deserve as much attention as the suction and drying headlines.

Before you commit

When to look elsewhere

Buyers expecting a carpet extractor, an interchangeable handheld vacuum, confirmed steam cleaning, full upright suction while flat or simultaneous drying and charging.

What the German FloorShine 830 package offers

FloorShine 830 combines hard-floor washing with a body that can recline for access beneath furniture. Its movement assistance and roller-care base are central to the purchase: they affect pushing the cleaner, reaching low spaces and preparing it for the next use.

This page follows the German NEW830BK configuration. It is a floor washer, rather than a handheld vacuum or carpet extractor. Confirm that the flooring permits wet cleaning and that the roller head can physically enter the intended space. WCB has not tested dried-stain removal, floor-drying time or the claimed reduction in handling effort, so the guide does not present a performance score.

The flat position changes more than the angle

The instruction manual explicitly reduces suction in lay-flat mode. It also states that usable dirty-water capacity is lower than in upright operation and tells the user to empty the tank when water exceeds the flat-mode mark. These conditions matter when a long under-furniture pass is part of the regular cleaning route.

Before reclining, check the tank and plan an unobstructed path back out. Avoid assuming that the normal 700 ml dirty-water rating remains available in the flat position. The feature improves access, but it does not establish identical cleaning behaviour at every angle. Furniture crossbars, floor transitions and room to turn the head can still limit where the machine reaches.

Match the cleaning mode to the task

Normal mode supplies water to the roller. Turbo increases both suction and water flow, while Quick stops water delivery and can collect dry debris or residual water. Those distinctions help explain why the appropriate mode depends on whether the job involves a fresh spill, remaining moisture or a more demanding patch of floor.

The retail page advertises up to 60 minutes without identifying the test mode in the checked table. That should not be read as a verified Turbo or lay-flat endurance result. The German page’s 75°C hot-water claim concerns roller self-cleaning at the base; it is not evidence that water at that temperature reaches the floor during a cleaning pass.

Versions and market differences

Eureka included NEW830 among the new products on its CES 2026 showcase page. The current German product is named FloorShine 830 and identified as NEW830BK in the operating instructions. The precise first retail delivery date has not been verified, so the event appearance and current configuration are stated separately.

FloorShine 880 is a different model that was introduced in 2025. Its German package has additional features, including a solution reservoir and deodorising module, which should not be transferred to the 830. The checked 830 price was €329 on 12 September. Older campaign text and cached pages showed different offers, so the guide uses the current listing rather than an expired promotion.

Maintenance and ownership

The self-cleaning cycle requires the machine to be docked with more than 20 percent battery remaining. Drying is another step: the manual states that the cleaner does not charge while drying and resumes charging afterward. When planning a second cleaning session, allow for roller care as well as the stated four-to-six-hour charging period.

Empty and clean the dirty-water tank promptly. Follow the manual when rinsing and drying removable parts, and do not rinse the powered floor-head assembly under a tap. The battery is identified as replaceable by skilled persons, not as a pack the owner routinely swaps during cleaning. Local service and replacement-roller availability therefore belong in the purchase assessment.

Compare the job before comparing the price

The 880 adds maintenance features within the same broad family, while Shark AquaReach offers an extendable spray-and-suction wand for a different set of reach tasks. A buyer mainly concerned with washing under a sofa has different requirements from someone cleaning raised hard surfaces or narrow awkward corners.

Check the actual storage location, power supply, tank-emptying route and the effort needed to carry the cleaner between floors. Then compare the complete regional package, including the supplied base and necessary consumables. These details reveal whether FloorShine 830 simplifies the routine more clearly than a suction number or drying-temperature headline alone.

Questions about Eureka FloorShine 830

What is the exact model covered here?

This guide covers the German NEW830BK sold as FloorShine 830. The series includes other models and regional configurations, so match the label and supplied base.

Can it clean while completely flat?

Yes, but the manual explicitly states that suction is reduced and the usable dirty-water capacity is lower in flat mode. Empty the tank as instructed before reclining.

Does it send 75°C water onto the floor?

The German product page describes 75°C hot-water self-cleaning at the base. This guide does not verify heated-water floor delivery or a steam-cleaning function.

Does it charge while drying the roller?

No. The manual says charging resumes after drying is complete. Allow time for both operations if the cleaner is needed again soon.

What does Quick mode do?

According to the manual, Quick stops water output and collects dry debris or residual water. Normal wets the roller, while Turbo increases suction and water flow.

Is FloorShine 880 just another name for the 830?

No. The 880 is a separate model introduced in 2025, with a different self-cleaning claim, an additional solution reservoir and a deodorising module in the compared German package.

What price was checked?

The current German page and its structured price showed €329 on 12 September 2026, with €349 as the reference. Earlier promotional pages can show other prices; confirm the checkout total and stock.
