The useful upgrade question is whether your existing cleaner struggles with daily mopping or stops before finishing the rooms you actually use.

An older robot that reliably vacuums a mostly carpeted home may have little to gain from a larger wet-cleaning mechanism. A kitchen that repeatedly needs a second manual wipe presents a more relevant test. Separate the job you want improved from the attraction of a newer series name, then compare a familiar dried spill at an appropriate water setting.

WCB assessment: treat the roller and dock routine as the reason to investigate T90. Do not assume that every X-series feature has moved into this less expensive package. The comparison below highlights a particularly practical difference: T90 retains a disposable dust bag.

A wider roller with a wastewater path to maintain

The roller offers a different way of keeping the cleaning surface refreshed. The buying question extends beyond its width: can it reach around chair legs, remove residue from a familiar spill and leave the floor acceptable after drying? Check the roller ends and dirty-water route afterward. A clean-looking roller in a demonstration does not establish an easy maintenance routine in a busy kitchen.

Short charging visits within a longer job

PowerBoost changes how the robot uses its station visits. A task can continue after several top-ups, which is different from having enough battery for the whole job without returning. Water availability, station access and a clear route remain necessary. Compare completion time at your intended cleaning intensity rather than placing a station-assisted duration beside another model’s single-charge runtime.

Carpet transitions need their own settings

Mop lift and carpet detection can help a mixed-floor route, but loose fringes and thick pile are separate problems. Start with a supervised transition while the roller is wet. If a rug is delicate or the clearance looks marginal, give it an exclusion zone and use a separate dry-cleaning route. Avoid building a schedule around a transition that needs rescuing every day.

A bagged dock with accessible tanks

A disposable bag offers a contained way to remove collected dust, while creating a recurring purchase. Water tanks are a more frequent handling task. Before placing the station inside a cabinet, check whether you can remove a full tank, reach the tray and clean an obstruction without moving the whole installation. A neat location that makes routine care awkward is rarely the best location.

Busy kitchens and hard-floor living areas: start here if mopping is the job that consumes your time. Test sticky residue after it dries, edge coverage beside units and the effect of the chosen water setting on your flooring.

Pet homes: assess the dust path and brush ends over repeated runs. A strong suction figure says little about how easily compacted hair can be removed. Keep a separate tool for stairs and upholstery.

Multiple floors or inaccessible rooms: consider the carrying task and the need to return to the station. A robot cannot automate a route that physically separates it from its supplies. If household plumbing is essential, the cited US package is unsuitable: its specification does not support an automatic household refill-and-drain installation.

Learn the normal appearance of the tray, brush ends and filter after the first week, so declining pickup or unusual residue is easier to identify. Let washable components dry as instructed before reinstalling them.

For a parts budget, the official support page listed a roller at USD 33.99 and main brush at USD 19.99 on September 6, 2026. Add bags, filters and approved solution according to actual consumption. Those pack prices do not establish a fixed yearly cost. Confirm which local seller handles repairs, what the warranty covers and whether shipping is included before ordering an imported bundle.

T90 deserves attention when you want roller mopping and a convenient bagged dock at a lower purchase tier than some flagships. Its case becomes weaker if you require plumbing, rarely mop, or need a machine chiefly to cross difficult thresholds. Test the hardest room and the least convenient maintenance task before deciding; those two observations reveal more than an extra zero in a suction specification.
