EGO Announces AURA-R2 Wire-Free Mower Range
UK availability was scheduled for March 2026.
News date:
EGO prepared its AURA-R2 robotic mower range for March 2026 availability, with UK prices starting at GBP 1,799, T3 reported on February 25. The lineup comprises models for lawns up to 1,500, 3,000 and 6,000 square metres, addressing different garden sizes within the same range.
PATH IQ combines positioning, vision and obstacle-detection technology to guide the mower without a perimeter boundary wire. The system is intended for gardens with multiple sections and more complex layouts. Wire-free operation describes how the boundary is established; it does not mean every installation can dispense with positioning equipment or an initial setup process.
The report described app-based scheduling and monitoring through EGO Connect, including location and battery status. Security functions include PIN protection, tracking, geofencing alerts and remote locking. The range also provides adjustable cutting height, allowing the mowing routine to be adapted to the lawn rather than using a single fixed cut.
The three model capacities are planning figures for the specified configurations, not a guarantee that every garden of that size presents the same workload. Obstacles, slopes and the division of grass into separate zones affect the route. The February report established the announced UK price entry point and planned March introduction.
