A compact robot for a different window layout

WINBOT mini 2 is a smaller alternative to the station-based OMNI range. The US specification makes compact dimensions and a smaller minimum pane central to the proposition. That can matter in a home with divided windows or limited handling space. Start by measuring usable glass, including handles, guards and anything that restricts the robot’s movement.

This is an official-source guide, not a hands-on review of glass finish or adhesion. The model appeared in ECOVACS’ 2026 European announcement, and the checked US store supplies the dated retail reference. A smaller machine can solve an access problem, but it cannot make unsuitable glass or an inaccessible placement point appropriate for robot cleaning.

Power and placement come before cleaning speed

Mini 2 uses an adapter and cable during cleaning. Its internal battery supports power-loss protection; it is not a cordless operating mode. Plan the cable route, adapter position and secure tether attachment before placing the robot. The US manual also requires nearby supervision and a clear area below. These requirements make accessible placement important. Consider every pane you intend to clean, rather than the easiest example beside a convenient outlet. Avoid a plan that depends on stretching, pulling the cable tight or suspending the adapter. If a window cannot be reached and retrieved according to the instructions, a compact body alone does not solve the access issue.

Small-pane fit and the finished result

The minimum pane dimension is a starting point, not a guarantee for every decorative shape or obstructed window. Check the complete route near corners and handles. On a suitable pane, assess the dried finish as well as visible movement: residue, edge marks and remaining dirt matter more than the maximum suction figure. Adhesion-related specifications should not be treated as a direct measure of cleaning quality.

The corner brushes add another contact surface to inspect. Grit caught in a pad or brush can undermine the result and should be removed as instructed. A useful trial includes realistic dust and a view of the glass after drying, under the lighting where marks are easiest to see. WCB has not independently measured these outcomes for mini 2.

Versions and market differences

Keep the mini 2 identifier separate from the original WINBOT mini and larger OMNI models. The US base price is a dated offer, and accessory bundles may show another total. Confirm included pads, solution, power equipment and the local warranty. When importing a unit, verify the regional electrical arrangement and support rather than assuming that the same family name establishes compatibility.

The store’s supplied solution bottle is also different from the robot’s onboard tank. The manual specifies approximately 50 ml onboard; the larger bottle is a consumable included in the package. Distinguish those capacities when estimating refilling and comparing with W2S PRO OMNI. A bottle size does not describe how much liquid the robot carries onto the glass.

Maintenance and ownership

The owner prepares and cleans mini 2’s wiping pad and corner brushes. Follow the manual’s pad wetting, wringing and attachment instructions, then inspect the contact surfaces between jobs. Allow time for pad care when estimating how long a set of windows takes. Automated movement across the glass is only one part of the complete cleaning routine.

Compare that routine with W3 OMNI, whose larger station adds pad-washing hardware. Mini 2 is easier to accommodate in a smaller storage plan, but it transfers more care to the owner. Check replacement-pad availability, approved solution prices and storage for the cable and tether. A lower purchase price is most useful when the recurring routine is acceptable.

Is WINBOT mini 2 cordless?

No. It uses mains power through its adapter and cable. The internal battery is for power-loss protection; the listed 30 minutes must not be presented as cordless cleaning runtime.

What is the US price?

The base US listing showed USD 239.99 on September 10, 2026. A bundle with extra pads or solution can have a different price; check the selected package.

Will it clean a 25 × 25 cm window?

That is the listed minimum pane size. Check usable glass dimensions, shape, handles and surrounding clearance, and follow the manual. A decorative or obstructed pane may not provide a suitable route.

Does it have a 230 ml onboard tank?

No. The US manual gives approximately 50 ml for the onboard tank. The 230 ml item on the store page is the supplied cleaning-solution bottle.
