A Gausium cleaning robot is using a Schindler lift to travel independently between six floors at Schule im Park in Bludenz, Austria. The September 8, 2026 deployment report described a school installation connecting autonomous floor cleaning with the building's lift controls.

The city financed the equipment, which Austrian importer Denzel Robotics installed and integrated with a distribution partner. The robot cleans shared circulation areas in the historic school building and its extension. It normally starts after classes, allowing the cleaning route to progress through the building outside the busiest part of the school day.

Schindler CoLab provides the digital connection between the robot's cloud system and the lift. The robot can call the lift, select a floor and continue its route after arriving, removing the need for a person to carry or escort it between levels. The integration is central to the multi-floor operation.

The school described the machine as a supplement to its cleaning team. Staff continue handling classrooms, spaces beneath desks and large glass surfaces, while the robot works on the areas suited to it. The release does not identify an exact Gausium model, so the deployment remains associated with the company rather than an assumed product configuration.
