China completed the allocation of its CNY 250 billion central funding package for consumer-goods trade-ins in 2026, the National Development and Reform Commission said on September 30. The final tranche, worth CNY 62.5 billion, was issued jointly with the Ministry of Finance to local authorities.

The funds came from ultra-long special treasury bonds and support the wider consumer replacement program. The announcement concerns the allocation of the year's central budget, rather than a statement that every subsidy had already been paid to a household or retailer.

The NDRC update said supported purchases generated CNY 1.55 trillion in sales during January–August. The program covered multiple groups of products, including vehicle replacements, six categories of home appliances, and digital and smart devices. Those totals are broader than the cleaning-equipment market.

For cleaning-appliance businesses, product eligibility still depends on the applicable category and local implementation rules. The funding announcement does not by itself establish that a particular robot vacuum or wet floor cleaner qualifies. It provides policy context alongside the 2026 618 cleaning-market report, which discussed the role of local subsidies during the promotion period.
